The Queens Arms has been a treasure and an asset for Littondale residents and their visitors for centuries. Sadly, in recent years, it lost its way. We’re delighted to announce that The Queens is now back, under new local ownership and local management. We want this pub once again to be a hub for the village, the dale, and all who love this beautiful place.
Since completing the purchase in mid May, we’ve been literally peeling back the layers to let The Queens live and breathe again. We have put right the electrics, the fire standards, cellar and kitchen. We’ve cleaned till our hands are red raw. The painters are in, and the carpenter on site.
It seems only right to re-open for The Diamond Jubilee. So on Friday 1 June, we’ll have the bunting out and the doors open for evening opening. It won’t be the finished product – just one bar and the kitchen will be up and running. But we promise you good beer, proper cooking (with a shorter menu to begin with) and a good beginning to a new era.
We look forward to seeing you and celebrating two great Queens together!
